Guy pretends to be teacher...? Explain BFF...?

So YESTERDAY in school me and my bff were goin to cl, 9th grade, and a guy, looked like 40 or somethin, told us we had to go with him. Well we thought he was a teacher and that we were in trouble, so i asked why and he didn't say anything, so me and my friend just followed. There are trailors for cles outside and thats where he was headed, but i saw that he wasn't wearing one of those id tags things so i stopped and my bff just kept walkin so i ran up and grabbed and told her to come on, and we went to our next cl. Now shes mad at me because she thinks the dude was a teacher and that she will get in trouble today and she won't talk to me. How do I explain to her that the guy probably wasn't a teacher because every time I've tried she won't listen? Oh, and do u think that the guy was a teacher, and if he was then will we get in trouble today after all?
