My estranged father who had his rights taken away is trying to contact me over 20 years later, help?

I personally would speak to him cause you never know what could happen. Not to sound pessimistic but don't initially go into the situation with really high expectations but stay postive about things. My stepdad found his father after thirty years and they get along really well whereas my mother met here father after thirty years and they hardly if ever speak it just depends.
