How can a person know if a message has been channeled to them or if it is just telepathy?

for me it seems that knowledge comes on two different levels, telepathy and then a more powerful connection, that usually conveys a strong message of Love for the recipient, who react in a very positive way. I have experienced a Mystic connection or you could call it Moksha or Enlightenment, it sets you apart from your fellow human beings, but in a good way.
