Ugg boots problem...?

I got new boots, tall brown uggs. this is my first pair and the manager told me everything to do to my boots to get them good. I went outside the next day, which was yesterday it ws wet outside. The one thing he didn't tell me is to water proof them, i mean how was i supposed to no?! Well, now i have this dark brown stain on my toe of the boot! What should i do? How can i get rid of the stain or should i just make the whole boot wet so the whole boot is the same dark brown color? This is my first pair and i don't want to ruin them cuz they are expensive!
