Why do so many pro wrestlers beat their wives?

I love wrestling, but I'm really against domestic abuse. Ric Flair, Stonecold, and Chris Benoit all abused their wives and it's really sad. I mean I believe that women belong in the kitchen, but I wouldn't beat a woman for any reason.
